FCP developers should all be fired. CapCut has more advanced features and it’s free.

Awesome update but there are still some missing features that would be great to have. Maybe they will come with the next major OS updates

My main issues are that "add freeze frame" still doesn't work correctly and at Apple they still don't know that Mongolian is a real language. I asked several times to add it to the language list in the captions but even in 2024 (!) it is still not added. This new version of FCP looks more like a beta version.

I still wish they would have added a speed graph for any keyframing actions. And why can't we apply optical flow to a compound clip with a speed change in FCP? In Davinci you can. In FCP, you have to export the compound clip before you can apply optical flow to a speed change.

I’ve just switched back to Fcp from CapCut, which is pretty good to be fair. Fcp is a lot better to use but they should introduce more fun bits.

Well I'm happy they bring good updates but I'll add my hope for captions as well, and what I would absolutely love two is having two timelines of two different projects next to/underneath each other... This way you can work so much easier when you get footage from another editor that you need to add to your project.

The 'draw mask' feature doesn't work since the 10.8 update. If i select the area with the pen tool, the Final Cut will stop working and won't be able to use any of the features. It works if you press and touch it instead of clicking with a touch on the trackpad, but it's still very slow. Does anyone know a workaround?

I have a 4 camera Multicam set up for a wedding. All I want to do is “expand the multicam clip to timeline” but don’t see an option to do so. Help 😅🙏🏽

Huh, I never used the DVD export from FCP, I just always exported a video file and used the open source "Burn" to make'em.

I want to see real tracking & image stabilization. We shouldn’t have to flip images to do the locked on trick. FCPX works ok, but it centers the whole frame on the tracked point, sometimes I just want to track a reference point for stability.
